Martin Hartshorne
Co-Founder, CEO
Martin has 12 years of customer-facing enterprise sales and delivery experience.
Prior to founding EmployTouch, Martin was the #1 sales director (out of 685) at Infor,
where he ran the partner and channel teams for Infor WFM.
At WorkBrain, Martin ran several lines of business over seven years including hardware,
professional services, and technical sales, where he helped Fortune 1000
companies design and implement workforce management solutions.
Martin holds an MBA from The Kellogg School of Management
where he was the Valedictorian of his class.
He also holds a Computer Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo.
Octavian Tarcea
Co-Founder, Head of Engineering
Octavian has 12 years of experience in enterprise software engineering,
and 8 years of experience in the workforce management industry.
Most recently, he ran support and services at Sparkroom.
Previously, he was the Manager of R&D for Workbrain, responsible
for a team of 25 engineers. He built software at all levels of
the workforce management stack, helping many Fortune 1000 companies to
realize their workforce management business goals.
Octavian has a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Toronto.
Adam Barker
Co-Founder, Head of Product
Adam has 12 years of experience in product management,
product design, and software development.
He holds five design and technology patents from work on projects at leading companies such
as Trilogy, Amazon, Google, and LinkedIn. He was a Lead Designer on Google's Gmail product
for several years, and received a Founder's award for his contributions to Gmail and Google Chat.
During his time at LinkedIn, Adam led redesign efforts for a number of
products and received a LinkedIn Rockstar Award for his contributions to the user experience team.
Adam holds a BS in Computer Science from Indiana University.
Bob Gardner
Head of Business Development
Bob Gardner, Head of Business Development
Bob has 20 years of experience in enterprise sales, business development
and delivery in the Human Capital Management (HCM) market. Prior to
joining EmployTouch, Bob was the Managing Partner at Axsium Group for 5
years where he established key partnerships with workforce management
vendors, developed industry specific practices and expanded operations
into Europe and Asia Pacific. Previously, Bob was the Vice President of
Sales for Workbrain where he delivered six consecutive years of revenue
growth resulting in the acquisition of Workbrain by Infor for $227M in
2007. Prior to Workbrain, Bob worked at ProAct Technologies, User
Technologies Inc, and Walgreens Inc.
